Hello everyone!
Today I come to talk about one of the most important and well known parks in Madrid: El Retiro.
It has 125 hectares and more than 15,000 trees, it is a perfect park to spend a day and enjoy nature. It is considered one of the lungs of Madrid and offers leisure, culture and sports to locals and tourists.
In it we can find the Grade Pond, where you can practice rowing in its well-known boats, as well as the Velázquez Palace and the Crystal Palace, currently used as exhibition halls.
Also noteworthy are its sculptures such as the Fallen Angel (Madrid is the only European city that has a public monument dedicated to the Devil), the fountain of the Galapagos, the sculpture of King Alfonso XII...
This wonderful park is located at Plaza de la Independencia, 7, 28014 and admission is free.
